RROP has been entered into the American Express Members Project Contest. If we are voted the number one charity project by September 1, 2008, we will be awarded $2.5 million.

We need to advance to the top 25 to be in the running for the grand prize. Support is one of the factors used to determine which projects advance to the Top 25. Although innovation, achievability, and broad, positive impact are other factors, we believe we can score very highly there since our “green orphanage” is highly innovative, halfway achieved, and already making a positive impact in Kenya.
