23 November 2011 – Twenty Three, and Counting, Thankfully.

Hello, and for all of you in the U.S. (and Denmark), Happy Thanksgiving!

.

A perfect day to introduce you to two more reasons for us all to be full of gratitude, John and Wisdom, the newest members of the family. We have known them both for several years. They came to us gradually, in keeping with the philosophy and practice of our child intergration program, the creation of Joy, our Child Welfare Special Consultant. John and Wisdom visited Red Rhino several times, got comfortable with the new surroundings and reacquainted with their old pals from Springs of Hope, chose their beds and filled their drawers with their own new things, and now are home for good.

.

They are wonderful, complicated, insouciant, rascally boys. Normal, in a word. And we love them. Like you will. Here’s why.

.

.

Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.
T. S. Eliot, Four Quartets, “Burnt Norton,” II, 20-21

.

Let’s dance today with full hearts, with John and Wisdom, and follow the lead of the late Jerry Garcia and, “Just say thanks.”

.

David

Are you sure that Michael’s not really leading the lads in a hot stove league discussion about how the Giants need to add some bats this off-season?

    CL,

I’m pretty sure Larry Baer rang Mikey up before extending Boche and Sabean. Evidently Big Mike gave him the nod.

Good to see “Joan-y” and Wisdom at the center. They are two special boys I fondly remember from my days there. Lots of love, B
